abstract noteBahá'u'lláh (1817-1892) is the founder of the Bahá'í Faith and 'Abdu'l-Bahá (1844-1921) is the Expounder of the teachings of the Bahá'í Faith. They were born in the vicinity of Tehran, Iran, and were deceased in the Holy Land. Many thousands of works were written by them, which are gradually emerging in English translations. Bahá'u'lláh and 'Abdu'l-Bahá wrote and spoke about proofs of the existence of God. Peter Terry has collected and correlated their proofs, those he could find in English translations of the original Arabic and Persian sources. In order not to burden the reader with undue complexity, but to provide some explanation when it seemed appropriate, he has written some commentary. This commentary forms no part of the original and will no doubt be improved upon by other writers. This compilation and commentary has been assembled over the course of several years, with assistance from a number of authors and discussants, all of them fellow seekers after truth.
