abstract	There is a substantial evidence for a positive correlation between religion and mental health. In this study we investigate members of two distinct religious groups: the Baha'i Faith and The Christian-Catholic church, in order detect possible differences in the role, religiosity and spirituality play for subjective well-being for the members of each group. 103 Bahá'is and 115 Christian Catholic people were tested online. By means of the Sense of Coherence Scale (SOC-29), the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI), the Multidimensional Inventory for Religious/Spiritual Well-Being (MI-RSWB 48), and the Structure of Religiosity Test (SRT). The Bahá?is showed higher amount of RSWB and a higher Sense of Coherence. Furthermore we found positive correlations between religious/spiritual well-being and the sense of coherence, especially high for the Bahá'i group. RSWB was confirmed to be negatively related with indicators of mental illness, such as Depressiveness. Also this relation showed to be stronger for the Bahá'i group. For a conclusion: We found the relationship between religion and mental health as less depending on a specific denomination than more on the general amount of religiosity and spirituality.
