Re: fault-finding, silence, and biographies

I recall hearing that Shoghi Effendi did not want certain aspects of Mirza Yahya's faults to be published -- those that had no bearing on the history of the Faith. "Know verily that the purpose underlying all these symbolic terms and abstruse allusions, which emanate from the Revealers of God's holy Cause, hath been to test and prove the peoples of the world; that thereby the earth of the p...

Amanat in his history of the Babi period quoted the following, but the way he quotes it, he is making fun of i...

Thank you for pointing this out. We in the West are not as familiar with this trickery, and we need to be on our guard against the insincere.

Cel, something about this story is not ringing true. It is pretty rare for Baha'is to turn away from the Baha'i Faith to Islam, because Baha'is already believe in the Prophet Muhammad and His Book, and the understanding and clarification of the Mission of Muhammad and His Message is so attractive in...

O DWELLERS OF MY PARADISE! With the hands of loving-kindness I have planted in the holy garden of paradise the young tree of your love and friendship, and have watered it with the goodly showers of My tender grace; now that the hour of its fruiting is come, strive that it may be protected, and be no...
