These Manifestations of God have each a twofold station. One is the station of pure abstraction and essential unity. In this respect, if thou callest them all by one name, and dost ascribe to them the same attributes, thou hast not erred from the truth. Even as He hath revealed: "No distinction...

I would say The Bab is a separate Prophet then Jesus Christ. Both the Bab and Baha'u'llah are new Prophets. All of them compare in many interesting ways, here is a highlight of some similarities between Jesus Christ and the Bab.(and one contrast) One was born in 1817 A.D. in ancient Persia while the...

The Bahai answer maybe yes to both questions. The prophecies are fufilled, but as richard pointed out the human form and individuality did not reincarnate. The return is referring to the return of the same spiritual qualities of Christ and Muhammad. http://reference.bahai.org/en/t/ab/SAQ/saq-33.html

I posted that thinking you would be interested in any connections not as an authoritative interpretation. Certian Bahais like to use proofs relating to dates and such because it it can be a strong point made when arguing for validity of Faith.

Isnt that a little extreme? epierce I dont see a campaign to malign you or your character or ethical apathy by Jonah to protect you from "bad moderators". It seems more like there is and was a disagreement of opinion about intellectual expression and the Bahai Faith. Can we not try to work this out ...

The authors of The Bahai Faith: An Emerging Global Religion state, on the bottom of page xiii, in the first footnote, "The correct name of the religion is the Bahá'i Faith, not Bahaism."

Lol I guess it depends.

The Seneca Falls Conference was held in Seneca Falls New York from July 19 to July 20th in 1848. The participants set out to discuss the legal limitations imposed on women during that time. It was the first womens rights convention held in the U.S. and considered by some as the birth place of femini...

Majnun, over intellectualism is what richard is helping us guard against. The fable he quoted warned against theological dispute and the excerpt giving guidance from Jesus demonstrated perfectly how to share spiritual truth. (Both from separate threads) Dont want to see you get banned if its a misun...

O SON OF DUST! Verily I say unto thee: Of all men the most negligent is he that disputeth idly and seeketh to advance himself over his brother. Say, O brethren! Thank you richard for sharing that insightful fable and the kind words. Those quotes were intended to be in harmony with the themes of the fable. I agree, personal knowledge stops short and bows humbly towards the Peerless Mystery. How can feeble reason encompass the Qur'an, Or the spider snare a ph...

"Even knowledge, though it may appeal to us all, is little more than a tool to be put to use by our spiritual natures. And like any tool, such as knives or the like, its usefulness is only worthwhile so long as no one gets harmed in the process. Otherwise, abandoning it entirely is far better than s...
