SHE'S MADE HER BED...
Debbie Benevento didn't suffer from empty-nest syndrome after her son, Jonathan, got married six years ago. "I had empty-bed syndrome," she says.
But she didn't lose any sleep about what to do with his brass bed. Her dream solution: She put it on her front lawn, planted some black-eyed Susans, surrounded it with hydrangeas, and a flower bed was born.
"When my son came to visit after I did this, he said, 'Mom, my bed's on the front lawn,' and I said, 'Yeah, and if you come back, that's where you have to sleep. '"
