Introduction: Being a story that touches on the Bahá'í spirit, Unimaginable Resilience of a Pen is a touching story with many similarities to Maryam's experience and struggles of young Bahá'ís. The tale powerfully underscores a contemporary form of persecution, which has rendered thousands of Bahá'í youths denied higher education merely based on their faith. The story of Maryam also depicts the suffering of many Bahá'ís of Iran and the principles of the Bahá'í Faith calling for unity, peace, and embracing the strength of the soul. The focus is also on the Bahá'í concept of abandoning the sword and taking up the pen and the call for enlightenment instead of violence in modern society. But no matter how hard it was, and despite the given list of challenges, Maryam remained faithful to her principles and dared to struggle; therefore, she was victorious. |
