About: It is a great honor for me to speak on the occasion of the centenary of the travels of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá through this region of the world. It seems that we are still too close to this major early twentieth-century event to understand its exceptional importance for the rest of mankind’s history. Did not ‘Abdu’l-Bahá Himself say while in Montreal, “the value and greatness of these travels are not known now, but will be apparent later on. As we had no other intention except to offer devotion to the Threshold of the One True God, we were assisted and the brightness of divine favor and grace appeared” (Zarqání 244)? 1.
