But they are very similar to the Clara Edge notes of May 1954, and so it is likely they were taken at the same time, perhaps from stenographical notes taken by the Guardian's secretaries. Some errors from original (including "Sara" spelled as "Sarah") retained. Comments in [straight brackets] have been added.  See obit. Sara M.
