'Abdu'l-Bahá had told him on his previous visit that "...health is the expression of equilibrium; that the body is composed of certain elements, and that when these elements are in the right proportion, health results; and that if there is any lack or preponderance in these elements, sickness results." He went on to say that "... there is still another cause of illness, Illness may be caused by nervous factors. Anything that shocks us or affects our nerves may also affect our health."
