In this short film called 'Hope from Iran', producer/director Flavio Azm Rassekh attempts to show that although hopelessness has become a major theme in society today, through the stories of four very different individuals, there is still hope, which was born in Persia 200 years ago and it has spread to over 120 thousand localities around the globe. For Iranians, hope will come from nowhere else in the world but from the heart of the country.
The film features four Bahá'ís:
- Sueli Inuma Dos Santos from the village of Iranduba in the Amazon (0:00-05:54)
- Erika Batdorf, an artist from Toronto (05:55-10:22)
- Guillaume Nyagatare, a professor of Agricultural Engineering from Kigali, Rwanda (10:23-16:38)
- Yasmin Hariri, a business student from Toronto (16:43-22:50)
Hope from Iran 2. This film takes on a slightly different angle by exploring the lives of four very talented women who have been touched, not only by the Bahá'í Faith, but in particular by the life and example of a famous Persian poetess and Bahá'í heroin known as Tahirih.

Hope from Iran 3.
'Hope from Iran 3' is the final film of the 'Hope from Iran' trilogy, and this time, filmmaker Flavio Azm Rassekh focuses on the unique story of two Iranian Baha'is who left Iran right after the Islamic Revolution to start a new life abroad. Their stories have a deep connection with the current situation in Iran today, and in the end, it all comes back together in a full circle.
- Dr. Adrien A. Eshraghi is board-certified in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and subspecialty board certified in Neurotology.
- Habib Zargarpour is a special effects specialist. Some of his film projects include: Star Trek: First Contact, Star Wars Episode I, The Bourne Identity, Spawn, and Signs.
- 2021-00-00 — The release of the short animation Through Their Eyes - Meeting Abdu'l-Bahá by filmmaker Flavio Azm Rassekh.
The film is followed by a Farsi version.
- 2021-00-00 — The release of an animation film titled Health in Iran: The Untold Story. This film was made by Flavio Azm Rassekh in collaboration with PersianBMS and Ganje Penhan.
Reference is made to the Syyhat (Sehat) Hospital in Tehran. At the request of 'Abdu'l-Bahá Dr Susan Moody went to Tehran and established this hospital, the first to practice Western medicine in Iran. Her story can be found at Bahá'í Blog.
