Joining the Faith and becoming a part of His Administrative Order is, I think, very much a spiritual matter, as it allows one to grow spiritually through service to the Cause of Baha'u'llah in ways not afforded when not a member. These include serving the Faith on elected or appointed Administrative bodies if one is able; giving to the Baha'i Funds (always voluntary); go on an official Baha'i Pilgrimage; teach the Faith in greater capacities with the direct support of the Baha'i community, and so forth. One may also attend Feast and events that non-members are not priviledged to attend Nineteen Day Feasts and share your important opinions with the community of believers with equal voice.
