There is a story for which I unfortunately do not have a source. It seems one of the early believers comiled a book containing accounts of many of Baha'u'llah's miracles. He brought it to the Blessed Beauty in Bagdad, where Baha'u'llah was walking by the river, for approval to publish it. Baha'u'llah took the book and washed the pages clean of ink in the river, saying that miracles were not a proof of His revelation. So there were miracles; they were intended for those who experienced them first hand.
If anyone knows the source of this story, I would be grateful if they would post it on this thread.
