Abstract: This paper presents a provisional English translation of a sacred Epistle revealed by the Báb during His brief yet momentous stay in the southern port city of Búshihr. Addressed to Muḥammad Sháh and composed entirely in Arabic, this powerful missive — introduced by the Báb Himself as “the Letter from Búshihr to the King of Persia” — marks a pivotal moment in the early unfoldment of His prophetic mission, shortly after His return from pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. Historical sources, including God Passes By and scholarly works by Denis MacEoin and Ahang Rabbani, confirm the Báb’s presence in Búshihr from 14 May to 28 June 1845, identifying this period as the likely time of revelation. This translation, prepared with the utmost reverence and fidelity, seeks to render into English the profound majesty of the original Arabic text, published in ‘Ahd-i A‘lá (pp. 102–103), and to contribute to the growing body of scholarship on the Báb’s revealed Writings.
