abstract	Shoghi Effendi's own translation and compilation of selections from the writings of Baha'u'llah which has become a standard scriptural volume for all Baha'is.
notes	This is a soft-cover of second and first pocket-size editions, with W. Kenneth Christian's introduction. However, it is paginated differently, and like the New edition of 2005, has sections numbered in Arabic numerals rather than Roman, each section having numbered paragraphs, and with the index keyed to sections and paragraph numbers. Shows in the Printer's Key as 11th printing in 2013. This probably does not take into account that this has incorporated elements of the Bahá'í Publishing new edition of 2005. LCCN 76-45364 is incorrect, given the changes.
