abstract note	Since Jesus of Nazareth walked the earth and spread his teachings, people have attempted to give his person meaning. From the start he also challenged people in the non-Christian world, underscoring his immense world-historical influence. One of these has been in the Bahá'í revelation from the very beginning: not only did the Bible serve as a source, but Jesus also served as a model for the teachings of Bahá'ulláh. In 315 quotations, Sören Rekel has compiled, arranged and commented on the image conveyed by the Bahá'í literature of Jesus. The "Bahá'í Jesus" presented in this book does not emphasize what distinguishes Christianity from all other religions. On the contrary, he draws attention to what connects Christianity with the lines of tradition that emerged earlier and later and asks overarching questions in the interreligious context. In this way Jesus himself can ultimately help to revitalize the dialogue between Christians and Bahá'ís.
