Yá.Sín.yaw-seenThe 36th súrih of the Qur’án, named from the disconnected letters at its opening, (y and s). Said to have been termed by Muḥammad “The Heart of the Qur’án,” this chapter is recited to the dying, at the tombs of saints, etc.

Yazdigird IIIyaz-deh-gairdThe last king of the Sásáníyán Dynasty, died ca. 651 A.D. Ancestor of Bahá’u’lláh. His daughter, Bíbí-Shahrbánú, married Ḥusayn and is known as “The Mother of Nine Imáms.”
