Abstract: This study presents a provisional English translation of an excerpt from a Tablet of the Báb that refers to Ḥájí Muḥammad Karím Khān Kirmānī (1810–1871), a prominent figure in the Shaykhí school and a key opponent of the Báb’s early mission. The selected passage offers valuable insight into the Báb’s theological response to Karím Khān’s claims and positions, framed in a tone that is both spiritually charged and rhetorically forceful. The translation endeavors to capture the depth and nuance of the original Arabic, preserving its reverent style and elevated diction in a manner reflective of the Báb’s distinctive scriptural voice. The Arabic text used in this study is sourced from Fāḍil Māzandarānī’s Ẓuhūr al-Ḥaqq, vol. 3, p. 272; however, the date of its revelation is not indicated in the published version. This work contributes to the broader understanding of the Báb’s discourse on religious authority and legitimacy. Download: bab_norozi_utterances_khan-kermani.pdf.
