Elika Mahony

Elika Mahony
Elika Mahony was brought up in a musical family in Kenya and learned classical piano from childhood. At university in the US she began composing her own pieces inspired by the Writings of Bahá'u'lláh. She has sung and performed her compositions in America, Africa, Asia and Europe.
In 1997, she produced her first CD entitled "Melodies of the Nightingale" on which she sings short, meditational passages from the Bahá´í Writings which she set to music.
After having a family of her own, she produced a second CD entitled "Melodies of the Nightingale for the Family", which includes prayers and meditations for parents, children, marriage, youth and expectant mothers.

Her CDs have been sold in 25 countries around the world. Currently, Elika resides in China where she is working on her next CD and where she teaches music to young children.
