Abstract: Among the manifold Writings of the Báb that illumine the spiritual horizons of Shí‘ih Islám, there exists a brief yet profoundly mystical commentary on the ḥadíth, “Every Day is ʿĀshūrāʾ.” Though neither the circumstances of its revelation nor the identity of its recipient are known, this luminous treatise — preserved in the Iran National Bahá’í Archives, volume 67 — unveils the inner mysteries enshrined within the Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ. Transcending its historical import, the Báb discloses its eternal, archetypal significance: the martyrdom of Imám Ḥusayn as a timeless drama of divine revelation and sacrifice, eternally renewed in every age and within every soul. Through a mode of interpretation at once theosophical and apocalyptic, He portrays Ḥusayn as the imperishable Countenance of God, the axis of all days and worlds. This commentary thus stands among the Báb’s most penetrating expositions on martyrdom, divine manifestation, and the perpetual renewal of revelation.
