God testifieth that there is none other God but Him, the King, Possessor of the Kingdoms. In the First Gate He hath ordained mention of His Own Self, His Very Self - verily there is none other God but Him. His are the sovereign Names unto all eternity, like unto eternity. In the Second Gate He hath ordained [3.5s]... ...Ye shall assuredly find All Good in the numerical difference between Qá’im and Qayyúm, in nine years |

هو بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم. قال السائل سلمه الله تعالی ما معنی الحدیث المروی عن علی علیه السلام من عرف نفسه فقد عرف ربه اقول اعلم یا اخی رحمک الله انی اوصیک |
The questioner—may God, the Most High, preserve him—asked: "What is the meaning of the tradition related from 'Alí—peace be upon him—'Whoso knoweth his own self hath verily known his Lord'?" I say: Know thou, O my brother—may God's mercy be upon thee—that I counsel thee [3.5s]... ...He (God) hath not begotten anything; rather He hath created all beings by His Will, and created the Will by Itself |

The Mother Book of the Bábí Dispensation. Comprising nine vahids (unities) of nineteen chapters or babs (gates)—with the exception of the last unity, which has only ten gates—the greater part of the work was written in the prison of Mákú, but, contrary to some prevalent assumptions, the last parts may have been written in Chihriq, after the Báb was interrogated by the clerics in Tabriz. The Persian Bayán abrogates Islamic laws and traditions and sets down new laws and teachings. However, the various laws are discussed as symbols referring to deep spiritual meanings and vehicles to prepare the people for the advent of Him Whom God shall make manifest. Both the form and content of the book affirm the underlying metaphysics of unity in which all things are manifestations of an inner reality which is the revelation of God within them. |

Sahifiy-i-Makhzunih (Hidden Treasured Epistle) |
Praise be to God Who existed ere all things were brought into being, and with Whom nothing can be compared. He was manifest when there was none other to contemplate His reality. He is the One Whose essence the hearts of the knowing have longed to fathom, yet fail utterly to apprehend even the most infinitesimal glimpse of His attributes [4o]... …The glory of glories and the most resplendent light rest upon Thee, O my God. Thy majesty is so transcendent… O my God, my Lord and my Master! I have detached myself… I adjure Thee by Thy might, O my God!... O My God, O my Lord, O my Master! I beg Thee to forgive me |
